A BILL to amend article two, chapter twenty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
one-j, relating to providing the public service commission
with jurisdiction to regulate dealers of propane gas.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter twenty-four of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section one-j,
to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. POWERS AND DUTIES OF PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
ยง24-2-1j. Jurisdiction of commission over propane gas dealers.
Effective the first day of July, two thousand, in addition to
all other powers and duties of the commission as defined in this
article, the commission shall establish, prescribe and enforce
rates and fees charged by dealers in propane gas. The commissioner
shall propose legislative rules in accordance with article three,
chapter twenty-nine-a of this code to implement the provisions of
this section.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide the public
service commission with jurisdiction to regulate dealers of propane
gas.
